Return & Refund Policy

At A Romance Court, we want you to love your purchase. That said, returns and refunds are governed by Spanish and EU consumer protection law, and the nature of the products we sell.

📦 Physical products (books & merchandise)

In accordance with EU and Spanish law, you have the right to withdraw from your online purchase within 14 calendar days from the day you receive your order, without providing a reason.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unused, in their original condition, and returned in the original packaging.

  • Books must be unread and undamaged.

  • Proof of purchase is required.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you and process the refund using the original payment method within 14 days.

❌ Non-returnable items

The following items cannot be returned or refunded, as permitted by law:

  • Signed or personalized books

  • Limited editions or exclusive items

  • Book boxes

  • Gift cards

  • Event tickets, workshops, book clubs, and digital events

  • Items purchased in-store (unless defective)

🎟 Events, workshops & book clubs

All event tickets (including book clubs, workshops, screenings, and special events) are non-refundable.

If you are unable to attend:

  • You may transfer your ticket to someone else by notifying us in advance.

  • If an event is cancelled by us, you will receive a full refund.

  • Please note: all event tickets are non-refundable. If you can’t attend, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to another person.

🚚 Damaged or incorrect items

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the issue.

We will offer:

  • A replacement (when available), or

  • A full refund, including shipping costs.

💻 Digital & online content

Access to digital products or online events (including Google Meet sessions) is non-refundable once access has been provided.

This policy complies with EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Spanish consumer law (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007).
