A Stroke of Darkness

Florence, 1492. After the Hell War and the expulsion of demons, the Purple Council tries to maintain peace in the city amidst secrets, golden domes, and hidden canvases from the past. Arianna Salviani, daughter of the council's leader, is the only angel whose wings were torn off at birth, a source of mockery and contempt from other citizens. However, her greatest desire is to paint, an ambition denied to women that her father manages to fight against, securing her a place in the prestigious Magliato Academy. There, she will meet her best friend, Taddeo, son of one of her rival families, who will share with her one of the greatest secrets of the war: there are angels capable of trapping demons in paintings. Despite everything, Arianna does not fear demons; instead, she feels a fascination for them, especially for one of those portrayed in these hidden paintings. While Taddeo tries to win her over, Arianna can only think of this demon who, perhaps, is only waiting for someone to awaken him.
