He's a guiri. She hates all guiris. And fate has decided to make them share a landing.

Moving to Barcelona was never part of his plans. Drowning in guilt, he decides to fulfill a dream that isn't his and rent an apartment near his new business. What he didn't expect was for his neighbor to be determined to make his life impossible, much less that returning everything she does to him would be the only thing that allows him to feel something again.

But she doesn't have it easy either. Trapped in a life she never wanted, she chooses to leave everything behind and fight for her dream of becoming a haute cuisine chef when loss and rage overwhelm her. Meanwhile, she watches as the neighborhood where she grew up withers. She feels that mass tourism has taken everything from her: the Barcelona she knows, the places she visited with the person she loved most in the world, her dream restaurant, and even the apartment she was going to live in.

What neither of them knows is that they share much more than they think: a pain that destroys everything they once were and consumes them from within. And aren't rage and guilt different sides of the same coin?
