A fake relationship between two scientists meets the irresistible force of attraction. Olive Smith is a third-year Ph.D. student who doesn't believe in lasting romantic relationships, but her best friend, Ahn, does, and that's why Olive is in a monumental mess. Ahn likes Olive's ex-boyfriend, but she would never make the first move because she's a good friend. Convincing her that she's moved on and is building her own "happily ever after" won't be easy for Olive, since scientists need proof. So Olive is stunned when Carlsen agrees to keep their charade a secret and be her fake boyfriend. However, after a major scientific conference turns into a disaster and Adam surprises her again with his unwavering support (and his unwavering abs), their little experiment dangerously approaches the point of combustion.
